What is Dedicated Hosting?

Dedicated Web hosting provides a high-speed Internet connected server on an outsourced basis for individuals, organizations and small-to-medium sized businesses. All hardware is owned by the Internet Service Provider and leased to the customer. The hardware, operating system, connectivity, redundancy and monitoring costs are spread out over the duration of the service agreement. Unlike shared hosting services, dedicated web hosting implies that a given customer has total use of the server, i.e.: it is "dedicated" to a single user.

• Redundancy: Our Internet connectivity is provided by three separate diverse backbone providers: UUNET, Sprint and Digex. If one of these lines goes down, traffic is automatically routed through the lines that are still online. Our data center power is supplied by redundant power sources including, centralized uninterruptible power supply (UPS) battery backup system. In the event of power outage to the building, the UPS is further protected by an auto-start generator and an offline backup generator.
• Monitoring: As a Crusoe Dedicated Hosting customer, you equipment will be monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week to ensure maximum efficiency and availability by our expert NOC staff. You will also have access to system uptime and bandwidth utilization reports.
